Chapter 3

Mom’s funeral

Ten years old Catherine was holding me tighter than usual. Her mom is being put to rest. Her dad was standing next to her. Catherine did not cry, she held her father's hand tight.

Almost half of the Cemetery was full. Everyone was in real pain. Catherine's mother was a nice happy lady. No one peeped a word. Everyone was still in disbelief albeit she was sick for a while then.

As they were watching Catherine's mom was lowered to the ground. Rain drops from previous day rain were falling from treetops and making a lot of ‘TUDD.TUDD’ noises as wind blew through those trees.
