The Celebration
Scene 4 (5 to 8 minutes for all scenes in Chapter 2)

Meanwhile Kandahar.
One of the most beautiful places on Earth. She lies on the junction of three mountain ranges. On that morning she looks even more beautiful.
<Zooms to village>
At 31.6272 North and 65.4552 East there was a beautiful home. Lovely Pashto music was playing in that early time of the day.
While UAV is air borne amongst the clouds <Closeup on clouds with UAV flying through, top angle showing clouds. The feeble music in the background to maintain some continuity. But engine noise in the front>

Scene 5
<Screenplay note: Home in the mountains. Mountain colored walls. Not much attractive outside. but very huge inside to accommodate 40 - 60 people. Big backyard,,,Samiyana (a particular kind of tent) and outside cooking for 40 - 50 people. Afghani cooking. Lambs, Parathas, rotis, rice predominantly. No pig>
<1 to 2 shots only...Steady cam movement a bit agile than the first chapter scenes showing the happy lively mood of the environment. Move through entire house showing different adult and children activities. Show the faces at long closeup. Faces must register since a tragedy follows this>
The mix of Tabla and Rubab floated to the front yard where more than a dozen children were performing rhythmic dance to that music.
<backyard near Samiyana where cooking is also going on. Cut shots of each person. lower mid shots. Chefs are crowd shot. Main actors can be shot at a separate time from crowd>
Grandma and Grandpa were sitting next to the Gramophone and enjoying the music. Dad was busy greeting the guests. Mom was busy leading half a dozen aunties in the Kitchen. She has been dictating the menu and taste testing the food.
<closeups of each adults at their eye level. Children's shots are at adult's perspective and eye level>
“Thodi der aur pakana” (It needs little more cooking).
In the hall guest were sitting on what appeared to be a large and thick bed spread.
“Moni” Dad yelled looking out the yard.
A 5-year-old girl stuck her head out of the dancing group.
“Haan papa”(Yes Daddy)
“Idhar aana. Munni ma kal raat aayeeti, appse mulakath karna chaahthi hai” (Please come over here my dear. Munni Ma arrived last night, she wants to meet you)
“Dekiye appkeliye kya layi hei" (She has she brought a gift)
“aayi” (Coming)
She runs into the house. Muni ma was holding Dad’s hand. She had a big, gift-wrapped box.
She ran with her arms opened.
“Dijiye Munima” (Munima please give me the gift)
“Pehle pranam kijiye. Phir thofa lijiye” (First get her blessings and then receive the gift)
Moni bowed her head. Muni ma exclaimed by looking at her.
“Moni. Tu Bahuti sundar ladki ban rahi hein. Der sara sifaris aayega” (You are becoming a beautiful young lady. You will get a lot of offers)
“Mein jaldi shadi nahi banoonghi Munima. Is Ilake mein sabse jyada padoongi aur doctor banoongi. Idhar wapas aake apni logo ki seva karoongi” (I won’t marry early Muni ma. I want to study more than everyone in this part of the world to become a doctor. I wish to help my people)
“Ji Suniye” (My dear, do you have a minute).
Moni’s mother interrupted the conversation.
Does not matter which part of the world it is. A loving Husband responds to his wife's call immediately.
“Haan boliye Jhaan” (Yes, my dear) .
“Thoda aur masala vagira chahiye. Mere pass list hei. Kisi ko bejke, leke aa sakte hein?” (I need few more spices. This is the list. Can you send someone to bring it)?
“Theejiye hum leke aathe hein” (Please give it to me. I will get them myself).
“Muni ma, mein jake aatha hoon” (Muni ma I will be back soon).
“Alla thale ki manjil se Jeete raho Angar” (Long live Angar in the name of God)
Dad, Angar walked out of the home. Started his scooter, waved at Moni and started moving.
“Muni ma . mein Moni ko leke jaathi hoon. Andhar jaake thiayar karna hei” (Muni ma let me take Moni inside and make her ready for the party)
As Moni left with her mom. Angar slowly headed down the valley to get groceries.
